I don't know if it would help any for the people at Blizzard, but I say we start posting the Websites, maybe the email address's, and the emails we are getting from people trying to steal passwords. I don't know if Blizzard goes after these sites or what not, but having a place to gather the sites and emails might help some people avoid getting scammed!

I can start the list with one I got just this morning, it was a tricky one and I was almost worried, thankfully my security knew the site was a forged site! If it had not picked it up I would have most likely lost my account security!

Site URL:

The email Address I received the notice from:

The Email Itself:

Billing & Account Services can be reached at 1-800-59-BLIZZARD (1-800-592-5499 Mon-Fri, 8Am-8PM Pacific Time) or at billing@blizzard.com.

Account security is solely the responsibility of the accountholder. Please be advised that in the event of a compromised account, Blizzard representatives will typically lock the account. In these cases the Account Administration team will require faxed receipt of ID materials before releasing the account for play.

Now that I know it is a fake email, and reading through it, I can notice some place's were they messed up and I should have noticed first! Maybe if we can get enough together we could help a few people? out, and maybe help Blizzard stop the people messing with the fan base!

This is not a good idea, especially not in our Forums, Leromis. Posting the links to malicious sites not only is a violation of the Forum Code of Conduct, but other players may visit these sites out of curiosity. Keep in mind as well that many times these emails, while coming from another domain (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc.), may be coming from an email address that has been hacked into, potentially another player.

If you wish, you may forward this email to our Hacks team for review. Be sure to send the full header information as well. (Thanks, Sylvax)
