Clarification request "BOTS"

I've seen a ton of post regarding the serious BOT problem we are currently experiencing and for the third day in a row, I am in a Warsong Gulch where the number of BOTs exceeds the number of real players making it difficult at best to play at all. I do my due dillegence and open a ticket to report one obvious BOT i have seen numerous times already tonight. I am shocked to see a response almost immediately (unheard of right!). Any way i get the typical we will investigate and your swift action and can't reveal...standard usless propaganda but this there was something new that I rreally am seeking clarification on.

The GM mentioned what appeared to me they want us to report bots, with the USELESS AFK button. Is that a true statement? I mean it does absolutely nothing, and afk and bots fall into two glaringly obvious catagories. A person can be afk for making a bio call or a crying child whereas a bot typically has third party software associated with it. That's my question!

ONE SHOULD ALSO NOTE THAT : in my effort for clarification on said ticket, i clicked the button for "request more help" and asked the same question in game, where now, I get the "we're experiencing a high level...". In that process, I get the deserter icon!

So end results...I report a known BOT, who got credit for the victory and lots of honor despite her getting reported afk. Me I get NO HONOR, NO CREDIT, and am punished for being afk. You tell me you have a working system? NOT EVEN CLOSE!

The [Report AFK] button is meant for reporting both those who would bot (as they are, essentially, Away From their Keyboard) and those who simply sit in the corner and do nothing during a Battleground. I promise you this button *does* do something - it sends our Game Masters a notification about a player's account without the hassle of placing a ticket. The [Report Spam] option works similarly.

While those causes are different, their end result is similar: They are taking up a spot in a battleground that a participating player could be utilizing instead.

That is unfortunate, Dezzar. By no means is our system perfect. If you feel that it should be changed in any way, such as having the debuff extended, then you are welcome to post your feedback in the Suggestion forums. That would be the best place to have your concerns regarding how this feature functions addressed. =)
