I was hacked this morning and quickly got my account back under control. I changed both my account email and password using a different computer. Over the course of the day I've run some scans with both Malware Bytes and Spybot S&D on the computer I usually use for playing. All the scans only turned up minor threats unrelated to the hacking (deleted them anyhow). I'm wondering if it would be safe to log on that computer now? The safe one I've been borrowing to check if my items are back yet will be in use soon.

I did order an authenticator but the rep I talked with on the phone said when he ordered his is took almost 2 weeks to arrive, and I'd really rather not wait that long. There is a possibility that the hacking got started on my laptop when I used it for a few minutes on Wednesday last week, do hackers usually wait a while before engaging? Any advice on whether it's safe to log onto my primary playing computer for the time being?

Hi Lozek,

It's very possible that those individuals will gather your account information and log in at a later time. I would say it depends on where your information is being sent to via the key logger or scam. They may have a few hundred or a few thousand other accounts.

You can never be too safe. :) .Other players have reported great results with the following antivirus and anti-malware programs.

- A-Squared http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/
- Kaspersky http://usa.kaspersky.com/trials/home-users/anti-virus/
- Trojan Remover http://www.simplysup.com/
