Multiboxing

Just a question regarding multiboxers

Is there anything in the EULA saying you cannot do this?

Just curious as I have been seeing a specific 5 boxing set of boomkins comming into my PVP group and absolutly destryong people.

Just curious if that is against any policy, or if blizzard is working out a way to prevent this or deter this kind of gameplay?

Thanks

Yes, but having 1 person control all 5 from 1 keyboard is alot more imbalanced than 5 people working together. It basically supports the statement of "if I have money, I win" theory, which I thought Blizzard was specifically against in PVP based situations?

I'll have to disagree. Everything being equal (i.e. same level, same quality of gear, etc...) 5 people working in concert should generally outmatch 5 characters controlled by the same character. Granted skill level plays a bit part, if the one in charge of five simply out classes the skill of the five individuals, well... the fault wouldn't really be in the ability to multi-box.

My question was about Blizzards tolerance towards gameplay styles of multiboxers.

We don't currently have an issue with this practice. Be it controlling 5 Druids, 5 Mages, 5 Warlocks, 5 Shamans or any combination of classes.
Q u o t e:

Multiboxing 5 druids in a small BG like EOTS is a little OP, no matter what team you are on and how you do. Not even Blizzard itself can deny that claim.

/claim denied. :) More challenging? Perhaps, not really more so than most other 5 class multiboxing teams though. To overcome 5 of anything it usually requires teamwork though a fear ability/spell can go a long way in that regard.

My hopes is that Blizzard takes a look at this problem in Cataclysm, or even sooner, to balance out the effects of some classes ability to multibox, so that battlegrounds end up being a little more "balanced" in terms of the ability to coordinate, and the ability to throw money into WOW and win because "one person has more money than the other guy".

This isn't considered a problem though, Optimus. Our Developers do not work on balance as it may be applied to a fringe group of players like multi-boxers, they look at balance on a whole.

There really is no ability to throw money into wow and win. Skill is still very much apart of the game. I've tried my hand at multi-boxing myself and frankly, I'm horrible, I could control 10 characters and I am fairly certain I would get stomped by a few organized people.

You are welcome to provide your feedback regarding this matter on our Suggestion forum, Optimus, but please understand simply because you see an issue with something doesn't mean that we agree and simply because we disagree it doesn't indicate it is for nefarious purposes (i.e. Blizzard just wants more money).

It isn't as ominous as it sounds though. We don't support this practice, which the original post claimed. Zarhym indicated that we tolerate the practice, we don't support or endorse this style of game play and the statement served double duty by indicating that this policy is subject to change.

Yeah, but when you say "For now", people hear the orchestra and drums; "dum dum DUUUUUMMM". He could have said "subject to change" and the few, the proud, the multiboxing nay-sayers wouldn't have taken it for such a dramatic post. :-)

He's a floating skull, the orchestra and drums with the "dum dum DUUUUMMM", is a requirement.
