Parent's and childeren on the same account

Please everyone, forgive my ignorance, but I am wondering: Can my son and I play on the same account at the same time on different characters? I only ask this because my husband has got me hooked on this game and my son loves it too. I would like to be able to play with both of them at the same time. Is that possible with two on the same account ? Or would my son have to have his own separate account as his father and I do?

Any information on this would be helpful! Thanks!

If you, your husband, and your son wish to play the game at the same time, your son will need to have his own account. There are a couple of ways to do this:

You can create a new Battle.net account (in either your name or your husbands name if your son is a minor) or add the newly created World of Warcraft account to an existing Battle.net account.

In either instance I would recommend creating the new account using the Recruit-A-Friend program. Information about this program can be found on the FAQ here:
