Recently my account was banned for having false contact information. This is because I used an alias when creating my battle.net account which I thought was allowed.. It's the internet. Nearly everyone hides behind an alias. And after sending an Account Recovery form I get a reply saying that "- The name on the primary form of identification did not match the name on the account."
When I try to change my account name the option is grey'd out. What am I supposed to do about this? I've sent about a dozen emails to you guys and all the replies have been less than helpful automated messages then I get spammed customer satisfactory surveys..
Spent all morning trying to phone you guys, waited for about 2 hours to be told that there is an ETA of another 30 mins. Do you realize it costs a sh**-load of money to make long distance calls to the States from New Zealand.
I've sent a photo ID with my signature on it. An Account Recovery form that i've filled out and signed. Is that not enough? Do you want me to send a picture with me holding a piece of paper saying "Hi Blizzard. It's really me. No lie."
You've caused me all this trouble and i've done nothing wrong. Except create an account under an alias, a mistake i've made which I have admitted to over and over. I'm aware that it was within your right to suspend my account for providing false information. But I would have changed it already if it wasn't grey'd out. Something as simple as changing an account name should not take this long to process. I've already provided you guys with more than enough information to do so.
Please stop messing me around... All this disappointment and stress when all I want to do is relax and play a video game.
