So im wondering if anyone can help me out been playing about 3 weeks and yesterday night get a message saying to go to<removed> or something like that because im being reviewed for the used of 3rd party software. then today find out that my chat and mail are suspended. Just now recieved a message from the same person saying to go to battle-store.com to claim a prize from a drawing. So first off is what is 3rd party software? Secondly how to i find out what they are reviewing? and thirdly why do i have these gm's having me log into places for different stuff. Someone please help with what all this means.

That would be a message from a thief, Bumper.

Right-click and use Report Spam to report those people and NEVER go to any website like that. If you already have, I'd recommend immediately scanning your system for malware.

If WE ever message you ingame, we will always have a blue Blizzard logo by our name and our chat appears in another box.

Be VERY careful of fake emails and whispers.

We aren't going to threaten account actions or send you anywhere to 'verify' your information.

I've asked this password be reset - I'd also recommend immediately scanning your system.

You've only been playing for 3 weeks?

Q u o t e:
ok so blizzard reset my password and then i changed it again so im assuming that this whole thing is handled and now i should have no more problems but if infact this continues and whoever is trying to sell m y ingame items or cash who can i go to this email is saying wether i was hacked or not they would still end my account. so im out 100 dollars playing this game because someone is messing with me at this point i want to speak with someone because im having my money stolen from me.

Security of your account is 100% a player's responsibility, Bumper.

NO ONE but you should know your account information.

We will NEVER ask for your password - we can't see it, it's useless to us.

Trafficking in illicit virtual goods is a multi-BILLION dollar a year industry. They have a vested interest in stealing as many account as they can.

You should have one email about a reset after you reset it yourself.

You didn't change the password right back to what it was did you?

I'd recommend learning how to spot a phish attempt, you can tell those by looking at the true sender in the internal routing header of an email. All email programs can show that - but you may have to dig a little.

I am a bit concerned you say you've only been playing for 3 weeks. If you are not the original account holder of this account, it's not yours.

Well, looks like they were using this account to advertise - that's not uncommon.

They don't steal these to do 'nice' things with them :)

Thanks for clearing up you've just recently returned, that did have me a bit concerned as this is a very old account.

Usually the functionality is disabled about 24 hours in a case like this. If you find any damages, you are going to want to report those right away. They may simply have used the account to advertise.

Well if they get in again and do mischief, this could indeed happen again.

We work with folks in this position, but preventing unauthorized access is by far the best way to prevent any further interruption of gameplay or features.
