BC trial and can't enter Outlands please help

I recently (one hour ago) used my BC trial on this classic account and I tried to enter outlands after exiting wow and logging on again. I walked into the big green portal in BL and it said "You must have the burning crusade expansion installed to access this area." I have a WOTLK copy of world of warcraft that I use on my computer. Is there any way to fix this bug??

Have you fully logged out of the game and rebooted, Hyyllus? It does appear that the account you are currently posting on has the BC trial active.
