I've tried using the search feature, to no avail, and also looked thru last 5+ pages of this forum.

So my concern is with people offering, say, 5000g to recruit someone, and have that person pay for 2months of their subscription.

This i'm told is a perfectly fine transaction, although not supported.

I consider this directly buying and selling gold.

As person A gives 5000g to person B.
and Person B spends $x to get 4 things, An account, 60 days gametime for themself, 30 days gametime for Person A, and a rocket mount for Person A.

from Person A's perspective, they spent 5000g, for 30 days game time, and a rocket mount, which was purchased by real currency. Gold Selling.

from Person B's perspective, they spent $x, to recieve 5000g. Gold Buying

I acknowledge that my concern, will probably get this thread just telling me to offer it into the suggestion forum, but i'd appreciate a blue's opinion, on why this is not against policy, while giving someone gold, and having them gift a time-card from the wow shop is against the policy.

only difference i can think of, is blizzard gets more money from method a :P

Both of the exchanges you have outlined, Vajazzle, are exchanges of in-game gold for out of game services.

Any time a player is making such an exchange, they may be found in violation of our terms of service. Should you see this kind of exchange being advertised, you can either let us know by submitting an in-game petition or e-mailing our Game Master staff at wowgm@blizzard.com.
