When will Blizzard actually ban bots?

There are bots that literally do BGs non stop for months, and have been reported, but never get banned. Everytime I send in a ticket I get the same copy and paste response...

Someone posted on the pvp forums yesterday about a bot that has conquerer title, done almost 6k BGs and has no flag caps, no node caps, and 2 killing blows... and has been reported over 50 times by people and still is an active bot..

Is an extra $15/month worth more than the integrity of the game?

It would be difficult to give you a different response, Trapstarr. Our Game Masters are unable to inform you of their findings. But what they can say is that the player in question is being investigated and appropriate action for the situation will be taken.

What a player says and what may truly be the case are not always the same. It's possible that player isn't botting at all. It's also possible that player is still being investigated. When we investigate these issues, we do take a look at them over a greater length of time. We feel its best to attack an issue at its roots (such as finding a way to break the bot program they might be using) rather than just suspend or ban a single player. That part can sometimes come much later, and as such, tends to set a false precedence. I'm sorry if that's caused any confusion.

I can run circles around the same patch in EotS without a botting program. Not participating in the fight is not against the rules as long as I'm manually running circles around the same patch.

Edit: I'm NOT condoning them, I'm just saying that they can't be banned if they are not bots.

Patently false, Felfoe. Not participating in a battleground is hindering other players' enjoyment of the game, and as such, is a violation of our terms. Our [Report AFK] function was initially created for situations such as this as well as those who bot. You may want to check over this policy. =)

Mauserd, if you would like to see changes with how we provide our services, you are more than welcome to post your thoughts in the Suggestion forums. But to think that we do nothing at all would be a quite misdirected assumption.

We have always been a reactive service, and we do rely, to a certain extent, on player petitions to inform us of this kind of behavior. However, there is much more that goes on behind the scenes, of which I am unfortunately not at liberty to share, to resolve these issues on a much larger scale. We only ask that, in the mean time, you help us assist you to the best of our ability by keeping us in the know with those in-game petitions.
