i know that a GDKP run is not an officially authorized form of loot distribution. but can anyone point me in the direction or have a BLUE post something telling me that a gm is not allowed to help? i have had a piece of loot miss looted to someone when i had the highest bid. the raid rules were stated clearly at the start of the raid by the raid leader in the /RW function.
I created a ticket to get the item " i understand that redistribution is not always available" the ticket took almost 72 hours or so. when i got the answer the gm basically said tuff luck tell people not to do GDKP runs as gm's are "Not allowed to redistribute gold and items from them"

From my understanding a gm is allowed to is it is deemed as a scam. this gm is refusing to even look at it. is there a Blue that can do anything or look into it for me?

please note that this taken place on Grempoc lvl 80 on Kel'thuzad server alliance faction.

Here is the answer you were provided, Grempoc.

Q u o t e:

The reason we do not get involved in the redistribution of loot is because GDKP is not a Blizzard-sanctioned loot system. There is no GDKP loot method built into the game. It is a player created loot system, and because of the multiple variables that can be involved in that, we cannot assist on a consistent basis, so we typically don't assist at all. However, in the case of a scam, where deception is involved, we investigate the matter and take any and all appropriate actions against the scamming player.

Everything in this statement is correct, if perhaps a bit confusing. We do not assist with redistribution in regards to GDKP at all. We don't participate in redistribution of loot very frequently, and when we do, it is in EXTREMELY rare cases. Your case was not one of these.

However, your case was investigated as a scam. As I am sure you know, due to privacy concerns, we are unable to inform players of the actions we may or may not take on another account.

That answer has been provided to you, Grempoc - due to the player generated nature of GDKP runs and it being an unsupported loot distribution type, we are unable to assist with redistribution.

We may reclaim items in the event of a scam, but we are, in nearly all cases, unable to redistribute them. Restoration is not guaranteed in any situation.

I believe it is time to let this issue rest.
