Account Compromised Overnight!! HELP!!

I have managed to change my account password thru the recovery page.

I was able to log in to each toon and verify the worst thing that could possibly happen in this game has indeed happened to me... I have had all my hard work and effort stripped from me.

All my level 80's are stripped.

3 were transferred off the oceanic realm that I play on.

Surely theres got to be credit card transactions, but I suspect they use falsified credit cards to do this, so not sure what kind of inroad that makes for Blizz to find the perp or perps.

Every toon that I have on the oceanic realm was systemarily stripped down, all valuables sold. All gear that could be sold, was. This goes for my lower level alts as well.

I have taken the following precautions as suggested by the website:

Remove any add-ons you may have recently installed
Run an extensive virus scan on your computer
Reset your web browser’s history and cache data
Change the password to both your e-mail and your battle.net account.

My question is - My account had all 4 of my warcraft accounts linked to it, consisting of a bulk of my level 80 toons and all their gear and materials from all their levelling and tradeskilling, enchanting mats, leatherworking mats, etc. Not to mention 3 guild banks with between 2 and 4 tabs worth of materials in them, all ransacked.

What do I do? Wait and hope they all get restored? 6 level 80 characters from 2 seperate wow accounts, which due to the forced merger meant that anyone who got one account got them all....

Sigh. I am at a loss. I just hope the restore goes quickly and well.

Please let me know this is being investigated in a timely fashion. I have my other Battle.Net account that my wife has which has a couple other level 80's I can play in the meantime. I will stay off that account until I am told everything is fixed.

Based on what I can see your issue is currently being looked into. Our game masters will do their best to recover everything as if the compromise never occurred. With our queue times low right now, this will most likely be resolved in a day or two.

You may find additional security information on our sticky post

Dispell,

As Kalerender mentioned:
Q u o t e:
Reversing a transfer is different to restoring items, it goes through in stages. Until you get an email saying "Yup we're all done!" assume they're still working on it.
Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. Thanks!
