Issues recovering from Account Theft

I was recently hacked and lost all my items and around 2800 gold. I got everything worked out and my account info secure and what not so I could start playing again. The email blizzard sent me regarding my account noted that my lost items as well as my gold would be restored. I logged on and I am still missing everything. I am just wondering if there is anything special I have to do to initiate this item restore or does it just take awhile or whats the deal?

Hi Restinpeace,

Can you check your in game mail again? Based on what I can see there might already be something waiting for you. Make sure you fully log out and log back in. :)

Did you clear everything in your inbox?

Also, make sure you did not reinstall any addons.
