If you add game time to an account through a Game Card you should qualify for the Recruit a Friend benefits immediately. If purchased through the online store though, it may delay up to 72 hours until the purchase fully processes, I'm not entirely certain. It will be a lot faster than 2 months until your billed for both though. :)
