Character name swap?

Hello! I have two characters right now, this priest, and a death knight.

My issue is that I'd like to use the DK's name on the priest after a paid recustomisation option. However, how should I go on about doing that? If I pay for a name change on the DK first, wouldn't that bring about the ..is it 30? or 90? day lockout on the name? I'd really want to do the swap in a day than wait.

Some people I've talked to suggested that I delete the DK, then do the recustomisation and then ask for a character restoration on the DK - which would prompt an essentially free rename of the DK. But that souds like cheating the system, somehow.

Any help on what should I do?

I wouldn't recommend that one, Varradon. During the character restoration process there is normally a check on the name of the character that is being restored. In the majority of cases we try return the character's name to the deleted character if another character has it. Even if that character is on the same account. It should also be noted that restorations are not guaranteed, it would be unfortunate to purposefully delete a character and not be able to recover it.

I'm sorry, Varradon, but unfortunately we do not have a name swapping service available. That is certainly something that players have been interesting in so it would not hurt to add your voice to the Suggestion forum and let our Developers know what is something you would like to see.

I'm afraid there is no easy way to swap names, it all takes a considerable amount of time due to the cooldowns involved.
