Is multi-boxing illegal?

There's one on Moonguard now, making quite a name for himself(s). Four Paladins and one Deathknight, all travelling in unison, one-shotting everything in his path. He shows up in Wintergrasp to make 5-man seige trains, and pops up at PvP-RP events to which he was not invited.

Is controlling five character simultaneously against ToS, if they act in unison? Isn't that cheating?

As the player is still initiating and maintaining the original movements at their computer, Multiboxing is not currently considered 'botting' or cheating.

While a little dated, this response from Belfair still rings quite true. I'd suggest taking a glance over it if you have further questions regarding the nature of multiboxing, and the difference between it and your average botter.
