Refer a Friend questions.

I've read the FAQ's but still have two questions.

First, I referred my husband who now has the trial version, can I purchase the retail game and two months play time online as a gift sent to him from the Blizzard store and would this qualify? Or does he have to pay for those himself?

Second question, can the leveling bonuses work on multiple toons? Can I use what ever level appropriate toon I have to pair with him as long as it's my veteran account and his referred account? And can he make various alts to pair with my various alts, mixing and matching when ever we feel like it, getting the experience bonuses up to the 90 days?
