Error Retrieving Character List

So I have 11 characters on a server at the moment (there's a max of 10?), and I think that is causing the above mentioned error. Other servers are fine. My account was hacked and a number of characters were deleted. While I waited I created a new character to replace one of the missing ones. This evening a GM restored my lost characters and now I can't get the list of characters to appear to delete the one I created.
Anyone know how I can delete the lowbie I created?

Looks like there are too many characters on your realm, this should be fixed soon. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
