Hello, I have had an active account since just a bit before the launch of ZG in preBC and I can deff say alot has changed since then.

For one, the once mythical 15m response time from GMs has grown to a staggering '2d:5h:0m' according to the twitter post. And apparently, In game response ... as bad as it is now, is still better than email correspondence when dealing with something like a hacked account or getting a ban petitioned.

GMs themselves are still pretty good and very helpful if the problem is something they can actually do something about ... but the ability to actually get a hold of one can only be described as 'SUCK'

After clearing everything in ICC except heroic:10/25LK back when the buff was still 15% I decided I was going to take a break from the game until xpack came out since I was getting pretty bored with it. I left my account active so I could check back in from time to time to keep up with the changes and be able to play on the PTR when it was released.

Well, the other day I went to show someone my Armory and found that my character was no longer there ... So, I attempted to log into the game and was asked for my authenticator code. I never signed up for an authenticator, so I assumed my account had been hacked. Not sure how thats possible since I hadn't touched my account or used the username / password for it in almost two months but that doesn't really matter. Anyway, I called account management in attempts to figure out what was going on with my account. I was told that it had been banned for Botting and had most likly been hacked. They told me they would fix the issue and I would be getting an email when my account was fixed.

That was Aug 16th ... needless to say its been a few weeks ... and I still have yet to get that email. My account is still locked, and im getting a little irritated. I have sent emails to [email protected] and have yet to get anything back.

I now have created a secondary trial account so I can post here and open a ticket up in-game to try to get this issue take care of. At this point, not really sure what else to do.

Information regarding an account can be gained weeks or months before it is actually used. It is also important to note that a number of people use the same information for multiple applications. Be it their e-mail, facebook or any number of other areas.

Now, about the account.

The compromise investigation has been completed along with the restoration, the account itself as you noted is locked and not banned, which means any penalty received was overturned.

Now a locked account still required proper verification in order to unlock it. An e-mail was sent to the registered address on 8/22 with the instructions on how to unlock the account.

The security check was never replied to. You seem to have changed your e-mail address on 9/9. I will resend the security check e-mail but you will need to follow the link in there to complete the security check. Once processed, which shouldn't take more than 24 hours, the account should be unlocked. :)
