Not sure why this would happen. I logged off WoW, came in to work, logged on to mobile auction house, and sold a few things. Tried to log in to game about an hour later and got "your account is locked due to suspicious activity".

I have barely any gold to my name. I don't buy gold. I only run WoW from 2 home computers and 1 laptop. I have an authenticator and haven't been hacked.

The only thing I can think of is that I just listed a Haunted Memento for 4999G on the mobile AH, just to see if someone would buy it for that high.

I don't see what could have happened.

Q u o t e:
What is an authenticator. I already run a hardware firewall, KIS 2010, always launch wow from the launcher. I've never had malware or a virus. I never click on links in email. I don't even belong to any social networking sites. I work in IT securing networks. :(

I'm use to network talk, but just saying Authenticator to me is like me saying "make sure your Kerberos authenticated using 256bit encryption".

Wow, Autumnrun, you won me at Kerberos. :P

All kidding aside, the authenticator is an optional security device you can attach to the Battle.net account. While it appears as though you have computer security under control, even IT security experts can fall victim to account compromises.
