What does that even mean? My account still seems to be working fine but I didn't request a reset.

I took a look at the account, Warshack, and the subscription is fine. The email you received definitely sounds like a phishing attempt.
As your fellow players indicated, do not click on any of the links in the email and check the email headers. Email headers will provide the originating source of the email itself.
