Scammed out of an item.

I ran an ICC10 raid today, asked the raid leader/master looter if anything was on reserve and he said no, everything will be rolled for and handed out fairly.

I then decided to join their raid (This is an alt, so yes it was an alt PuG run). Healed the raid through up to Saurfang, and just as I hoped for "Mag'hari Chieftain's Staff" drops from saurfang, the raid leader gave it to a different player, said it was an accident and for us to roll on it. Three of us rolled on the item, with me having the highest roll.

The person who won the Staff said "Nice rolls gents" left the raid and hearthed. The Raid Leader/Master looter apologized and said they would make a ticket to get the item fixed.

I made my own ticket for it (Mainly posting because I would like to hear a blue's response on the situation), and then asked the raid leader if they also made a ticket, in which they laughed at me and said nope and that I had no proof that he said anything.

I have three screen shots, 1 of him telling us to roll and the roll numbers, one of the raid leader giving it to the wrong person and one of the raid leader saying he was going to get it fixed.

My question is, what can be done about this scamming? I know and understand that these are the risks we take when we use a PuG, but unfortunately my Guild can't run 6 ICC10s for all of my 80s (My fault not theirs)

Do we let these people keep their wrongfully acquired items? Do we give them to the right person? Or is there nothing to do about it?

Scamming to get me to heal just ain't cool.

EDIT: Edited out People's Names/Links to screen shots since it is against the rules, but for the Blue's to check into it.

To be able to access a scam, we first need clear and concise rules found in chat.

Sounds like they kept changing the rules and without totally re-investigating your case I'm going to say just from your scenario that was part of the problem.

Master Loot was never meant for PUGS folks, there are other tools better suited to that task.
