Will I get my item restored?

Recently had to open up a ticket regarding a raid leader grabbing an item and logging after losing the roll. The loot rules were clearly laid out in raid chat before hand (main spec > off spec, high roll wins). My ticket was closed and the response was just a form letter. Created a new ticket, inquiring on if the item will be returned and received the same response. I just want to know, should I anticipate a different response? In the letter it states that the matter is being "investigated" but they can't reveal what will happen with the scammer in question. My 2nd ticket was escalated for 2 days before being closed. I'm specifically asking about this policy:

"If, however, there is a clear in-game agreement about loot distribution and a player violates the agreement, a GM may intervene and assist with distributing the loot fairly. For more information, please see our related policy here."

Again, the loot rules had been clearly stated a few times, the item was linked with the directive to roll on it, and after I had won the roll the raid leader grabbed it and logged. I just want to know if I should expect another response back or not, the form letter is vague on the matter. Thanks!

I'm afraid the results vary widely per the situation, Ratan. I'm unable to get into specific details about your case, but please understand that it is only in very specific circumstances we are able to redistribute loot.

As you quoted, I will bold for emphasis:

Q u o t e:
If, however, there is a clear in-game agreement about loot distribution and a player violates the agreement, a GM may intervene and assist with distributing the loot fairly. For more information, please see our related policy here.

And in the related Scam policy:

Q u o t e:
Will I get my item(s) and/or money back?

Due to the many variables involved with item reimbursement and types of scams, item reimbursement is not guaranteed. We will make every effort to verify your particular case and, once verified, will try to assist in returning the missing item(s) to you.

If you have already received a response, then the investigation is likely finished. As we are unable to divulge our findings, you won't be informed if you do not receive anything - only if we are able to redistribute.
