Name locked out after faction change

I had a placeholder character with a name (Vata). I went horde for a while (12+ months ago) on a different server, before I finished the faction change after transferring back I deleted the placeholder, spent maybe 2 minutes customizing my character, named it what I had the placeholder as and when I try to log in I'm getting a "Your name has been flagged for rename" message. It's important to note the placeholder character was on a friends account. I made it while I did not have any game time in to log in on mine, and I had decided to come back.

I put in a GM ticket about 30 hours ago, figured I'd try here at the same time because I am impatient/excited. I'd really like to use my name, thanks.

Thanks for the idea, I'll give that a try. Anything that might help is good.

I would recommend that you do put in some feedback for your last interaction, Vata. It is unfortunate that you were made to wait so long for a response that was not accurate to the petition you entered. It sounds like the Game Master involved may have switched your response to that of another petition they had; that does not excuse the outcome, simply offers a possible explanation for the mix up.

I would be happy to help you out with this, though. If you can provide me the name and current realm of the character that you are experiencing this with, I will do what I can to remove the flagging. :0)

That character should be good now, Vata.

Indeed, this is sometimes a side-effect of requesting multiple transactions without logging into the character in-between.

I am terribly sorry for any delay.
