Yeah, Orcs flying around Orgrimmar spelling out site names.

Blizzard, when are you going to fix this? Is this something you plan on doing anything about?

Are these companies paying you to use your game as a medium to advertise their services which are against your ToS?

I've seen this for so long.

How do you plan on fixing it?

I've been fixing it myself with train sets that cause them to /train and for some reason SOMETIMES causes them to disconnect.

The sites I've seen are[Removed]

Anybody else familiar with these flying orc warlock messages?

Yes, Neglect, our Developers are looking into ways to prevent this type of exploitation. There isn't an easy button in implementing a resolution though. It is a matter of preventing their ability to do this without negatively impacting legitimate players.

Really? I have no words that I could put in print. So let me just leave it with ...

That really isn't a fix, though I applaud your effort. The best thing to do though is to submit an in-game petition. Make sure you use a key phrase such as "body advertisement" or "body spam" and include the general area they are in (i.e. Stormwind Bank, Orgrimmar Auction House, etc...).

I think they are doing well enough with advertising themselves, Neglect, let's not advertise for them.

Sorry. >.> Not my intent.

:D

Believe me, we understand the frustration that these skywriting characters cause and our goal is to rid ourselves of them. You may or may not recall but we had a similar issue awhile back but they were corpses advertising on the ground.

Our Developers were able to create a way to address that situation without adversely affecting legitimate players and they will do so again. This one is proving to be a bit trickier but it did take the advertisers a long while to figure out a new method of advertisement, so that is something. :) Hopefully once a resolution is implemented it will stump them for good.

Not every square inch of the game needs to be monitored. In most cases when a GM has helped me with a problem, the solution was quick, easy, and took the GM less than a minute to complete.

One person per server at any given time could sort through hundreds of problems a shift if they were doing their job right. =/

Feel free to make that suggestion, Neglect, in the Suggestion forum. I can assure you though things are not as simple as you believe them to be.
