Question regarding a hacked account.

Ok so my main account was hacked on monday and through my neglegence and being tired from just getting off work at 7 am the hacker also got my email for that account i would like to know what i should do i have since scanned my cpu and reset my router and created a new email im not entirely sure what i should do now because i cant retireve information about the account on the old email since i have it locked and i cant sit on the phone for hours waiting to get through to someone and being put on hold since during the only hours i can call it racks up minutes on my phone i may need for later.

If you no longer have access to the registered email - calling is your best option.

Being on hold 'for hours' is a gross misrepresentation, although it may be a little challenging sometimes getting into the queue.
