Offensive Censorship In Game

It has recently come to my attention that the word homosexual has been censored in game. I fail to see how this word is offensive. I myself and I am sure the entire gay and lesbian community as well as their friends and family would find it offensive that Blizzard has deemed this as a swear word. i hope this concern is taken seriously as it is a very serious issue.

Correct.

The word, part and whole is filtered, Miretia. That doesn't mean that the word itself is deemed offensive only that it is usually used as a derogatory and thus added to the list of words that our Mature Language Filter will scramble.

If you feel it should be removed from the list of filtered words you are welcome to post your feedback in our Suggestion forum. Our Developers and Community Managers can review your post there.
