Unable to initiate character transfer

I've been trying to transfer my character from Alleria to Nesingwary since the past day or so.

After I select a character to transfer, I am given a dropdown list of all the servers available to transfer to. When I select Nesingwary, I get an error message saying "An error has occurred".

When this happened the first time, I thought it might have something to do with the recent 24-hour maintenance, because whenever I selected a server that was not on the extended maintenance list I was able to proceed to the next step (though I did not finalize the transfer, my destination being Nesingwary).

The servers are back up now (or at least Nesingwary is, since my roomate is playing on that server as I type this) but I'm still having the same problem.

So, what's the deal? Is there a way to fix this?
