I can't afk in a really long BG?

It happens...people need to urinate every so often. So I take a few minutes to go to the restroom (which is the appropriate description) and I come back to wow only to have deserter status... Wow programmers abandon players for at least 6 hours once a week, and I can't go to the restroom? Grats again, oh high and mighty!

You are welcome to go afk if you wish, Magnanimous, but the idea behind participating in a Battleground match is to actually participate. If you need to use the restroom, grab a sandwich or do anything else that will prevent you from actively playing it is best to not enter the match. If you enter the match and have to leave your computer there is a possibility that your teammates may use the afk reporting feature. If you do not enter combat to remove the temporary debuff you will eventually be removed from the match.

Programmers abandon players once a week? You mean the maintenance period, Magnanimous? I'm not certain how the maintenance period applies here but if you wish to see how the /afk report feature works, the debuff or how maintenance is handled I suppose the best place to post is in the Suggestion forum. Our Developers and Community Managers can review your feedback there.

But I go afk (according to your terms) for less than 3 minutes in a BG and I'm removed from the group.

Yes, as was designed. The Report Afk feature was used on you because you were.... afk. Shocking I know.

Propagandize any way you like, but you could at least tend to the floating orcs in orgrimmar, but I see no GM in sight doing anything about it. Yet you take the time to reword my post. [Removed] Do something about the orcs in orgrimmar, and i will lessen my complaints.

That is the oddest deflection I think I have ever seen. Frankly, given the extremely rude reference you are attempting to apply to me it seems you have a modicum of intelligence, at least for using a historical figure. What you have done though is essentially pointed at the fact there is crime to the police officer that is giving you a warning for speeding. Actually no, that would be incorrect because you used a ridiculous comparison.

I edited your post, Magnanimous, because you were expressing yourself in a way that was inappropriate. Instead of simply deleting the post or suspending you I decided to edit the inappropriate portions and then respond.

The advertising you are talking about should be reported via an in-game petition. If you use the term "Body Spam" or "Body Advertisement" and provide a general location (i.e. Orgrimmar Bank, Stormwind Auction House, etc...) our In-Game Support staff will be along as quickly as possible to deal with them.

Our Developers are working on an overall resolution and preventative measure but it takes time. The methods used are exploiting mechanics that are in-game, the same mechanics that allow your character to move at all. So, though we would like nothing better then to instantly address such situations I think our players on a whole would rather retain their ability to move their characters.

It is also important to point out, Magnanimous, that my job is to moderate this forum and provide what advice I can. I don't address in-game issues such as the advertisement you used.

I see very little point in allowing this to continue so I'll be locking it. I highly recommend that you do not create a new thread to continue this discussion.
