I recently decided to play WOW again but i cannot seem to find my account. When i used to play the account wasn't an email it was just name and i cannot move it to a battlenet id. whenever i try it says it was already merged and i do not know how to recover it

You will definitely need to call Billing and Account services to recover the account here:
    Account Services
    Assists with: billing issues, password recovery, paid services, subscriptions, payment issues, account management, etc

    Hours: 7 AM to 8 PM Pacific Time
