I figure that this is a really major change that's gonna catch a lot of positive and negative feedback, so let's try to keep all the discussion to one thread to make it easy on the devs.

I personally really don't know how to feel about this change.
On one hand, a huge cornerstone of hunter balance is being removed. We lose both the flavor and the weaknesses that came with it. In a sense, I kind of miss it. I enjoyed the skill it asked of me and I even enjoyed the frustration of not being able to escape melee range.
On the other hand, I typically approve of homogenization that removes difficult to balance mechanics. As an avid pvp'er, I can't help but believe that this will make the class significantly easier to balance.
What do you all think?
