"GC can't seem to be everywhere at once..."

"GC's bosses: "Hmm. GC can't seem to be everywhere at once, and players get upset when he can't do so. Maybe it's better if we return to the forums of yore when nobody had the expectation of a blue post."

- Ghostcrawler in a thread about DK's.

I just wanted to respond to this particular line, because I think it's an exceptionally unfair statement. He implies that our only options are A) scattered blue posts that answer some questions, but don't satisfy player expectations, or B) the prior draconian approach of non-communication. Why are these the only options?

We, the players, pay BILLIONS of dollars annually to Blizzard. Why is it so unreasonable for them to hire a large enough development staff to provide adequate forum representation to players? Why not 1 developer per class, or at least one forum rep per class? They can attend weekly staff meetings, ask player questions, and provide regular feedback.

The "we don't have enough time" excuse just doesn't fly when you are speaking from the stand-point of a multi-BILLION dollar resource pool. Hire some help and make the forums a better place.

My thanks to the players who get it.

Nevertheless, this isn't an appropriate topic for this forum.
