I finally convinced a friend of mine to play wow, and he bought the game and game time, and two weeks later he was banned for 'spamming chat'?

Is there anyway Blizzard support can talk to him, or a way to appeal the ban? especially since my friend keeps to himself and doesnt even talk in most public chats...... I am wondering if this was done in error.

Draz, you friend may not have spammed, but his account most certainly did.

Please get the information below relayed to him if at all possible. This can be looked into, but unless he's taken to working for a gold selling company himself - he's been compromised :)

This sticky may be useful.

He may also want to look into getting an authenticator for his account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of a WoW account.
