Unable to Log in

As you are aware we are currently experiencing some log in issues. I just wanted to let everyone know that we are aware of it and the matter is being looked into. We hope to have the issue resolved as soon as we can.

I will provide what updates I can as soon as I receive additional information.

As some of you have noticed there are a number of realms that are online and accessible. It appears that there were two issue that happened simultaneously. The overall log in issue was resolved.

The currently issue seems to be affecting players from a few select Battlegroups. Those Battlegroups are as follows:

Our Technicians are working on this issue and hope to have the issue resolved as quickly as possible. We do not currently have an estimate on when that will be but we will provide what updates we can.

It looks like some people are able to log into their realm. We are still looking into this matter though but things appear to be returning to normal.

I'll let you know what I find out.

Hey all, I understand this is fairly frustrating but please keep the posts civil. I've already had to moderate a few people and I would prefer not to.

Our Technicians are working on getting everyone back into the game as quickly as possible. I don't currently have an estimate on when that may happen but I will certainly pass along what information I get as soon as I get it.

Actually no. There are more Battlegroups that are not experiencing this. The following Battlegroups look to be accessible:

Seriously though, from what I can see our Technicians are running through their troubleshooting steps though I don't have anything specific I wanted to let you know that I was still here and that they are still actively working on this issue.

I'm not entirely certain, Enade, they usually don't pass on the more technical information. I know that it is being looked at by more than just our Techs at this point; we are also conferring with our System Admins and DBAs.

I should note that the realms themselves are up and accepting players. As some have experienced they are sometimes able to log in, eventually.

It is the log in process that is experiencing the issue and that is being addressed.

Thank you for your patience thus far, everyone. I know you all just want to log in and play. Our Technicians will not stop until that happens.

Did you receive a pop up box when you logged in, Omynn? Red text? If so that is usually an error associated with your User Interface.

If you are able to provide it here though you are welcome to. We'll take a look. :)

Just to clarify, the realms were never down, Ophillia, it was a log in issue preventing players from entering a particular realm. The majority of those issues seem to have cleared up though our Technicians continue to look into the matter.

No, this wouldn't be related, Jubjubs. The issue this thread is about was fairly specific. Players were able to log into the game and select a character but when they try to enter the realm they get stuck on the loading screen with a full blue bar.

One recommendation I have is to make sure you are booting up the client using the Launcher.exe program. If that doesn't work, unfortunately what you are experiencing will likely require a bit more technical knowledge to resolve then I would have. I'd recommend posting in the Technical Support forum, Jubjubs.

The overall issue should be resolved now, Eraina, at least I have not seen any new reports. They are still looking into the cause and of course looking into reports of increased latency for some players now that they are in.

I'm happy to do it, Eraina. I think most people understand that computers rarely behave the way they are intended to and things happen. That is as true for personal computers as they are for our systems. I just hope people understand through this frustrating experience that we want things running as smoothly and issue free as possible. After all, it just isn't logical that we wouldn't want everyone to be playing instead of on the forum complaining about a realm issue. :)

For now everything seems to be in order and the stuck at loading issue has been resolved so I'll be unstickying the thread.

As I said before though our Technicians continue to look into the overall issue and into reports of increased latency for some players. If you are experiencing an increase in latency please use the Report Lag feature.

This feature may be located by clicking on the Help Request option. This option is located in the small navigation tray near the bottom of your screen and symbolized by a red question mark icon.

This will bring up the In-Game Knowledge Base window, a database full of support articles for your reference. Four options will also appear towards the bottom of the window:
    • Talk to a GM
    • Report Issue
    • Report Lag
    • Character Stuck

Selecting the Report Lag button will open up a new intractable window in which you will be asked to specify what type of latency you are experiencing. You will be able to select from the following options:

    • Loot
    • Auction House
    • Mail
    • Chat
    • Movement
    • Spells and Abilities

After you click on one of these options, your report will be issued immediately and the selection will result in a confirmation window which will be displayed for your acknowledgement. If more than one form of latency is being experienced, a report can be issued in each appropriate category. These reports will not be accompanied by a Game Master interaction, but instead will utilized as a diagnostic tool by our Realm Technicians to help potentially identify underlying causes of latency so that they may be addressed.
