Is this a violation of the TOS? (xfact AH)

Is it against the TOS to use the cross faction AH to shift gold or products from one faction to the other?

Basically, figure this scenario - I know it's being done - just wondering if it's actually against the TOS: Toon1 is playing for the Horde and gets alot of a particular product - a product that sells much better on the Alliance side - so he puts it up at the AH in Booty Bay, one of the cross faction auction houses. His friend logs on (if I'm correct, you can't buy the auctions from your own account), and buys them. He then sells them on the alliance AH at a good price and once he gets the gold from the sales. he then buys a bunch of light leather (or other very cheap material) posted by 'Toon1' at 50g each... or something like that.

This is obvious manipulation of the system - and pretty easy to do. Yes, you'd lose the AH cut, but if something sells much better on 'the other side' (many times due to the difference in population), at least you'd be making the sales... BUT... is this a violation of the rules?

Thanks,
MZ

Q u o t e:

No, that's pretty much the fundamental purpose of it.

Well the fundamental purpose of the Neutral Auction House would be to sell items to either faction. :)

No, Mightyzeus, moving items/gold via the Neutral Auction House is not considered a violation of our policies. It is not a supported practice so if something goes wrong we will be unable to assist but it is not a prohibited one either. As long as the gold/items are acquired legitimately you are welcome to use it that way.
