Cant get rid of free trial and playy for real

ok so went and bought warcraft yesterday. i installed the game and everything went well. then i created my account on battle.net.com and i made do this 10 day free trial and now i cant activate my game or my came card that is worth 60 days of warcraft. please help

It sounds as though you need to upgrade the trial account, Enwrath.

In order to upgrade the trial account, please follow these steps:

  • Log into Battle.net Account Management: https://us.battle.net/account/management/
  • Under “Your Game Accounts” select the World of Warcraft license you wish to upgrade.
  • On the right side of your screen you will see a brown box that says “Upgrade Available: World of Warcraft”. Since it sounds as though you have purchased the game already from a retailer, choose “Enter CD Key”.
  • Enter the Game Key in the space provided and click the “Activate Game” box. If the key was entered properly, the account upgrade will be successful.

Once the account has been upgraded, you will be able to add the Game Card.

If the issue persists, please update the thread with the exact text of the error message you receive.

You can upgrade at anytime within the 10 day trial period. Did you only purchase a Game Card, Enwrath? Before you can use the Game Card, you must first upgrade the account with either a retail copy of World of Warcraft or via the Direct Online Upgrade feature.
