Remove my authenticator

I have have had an Authenticator on my account since they came out, because they are a great idea. However its died. Hitting the button doesn't do anything, and I can't find an "My dongle has died" button.

Any help?

I am sorry to hear of the death of your authenticator, Scentless. Since the authenticator does not have an ounce of life left you will need to contact Account Services for removal.

For the authenticator to be removed successfully, you will need to be able to answer the Secret Question associated with the Battle.net account, and either the serial number located on the back of the authenticator, or the CLASSIC World of Warcraft CD key (no expansions).

If the authenticator was purchased within the last 12 months, you may be able to receive a replacement at no cost. Be sure to discuss this matter with the representative you speak with.

As a friendly reminder, removing the authenticator from the account can jeopardize account security. You will want to take the necessary preventative measures (scanning your computer, changing your password, etc.) to avoid a potential account compromise.
