Ongoing Harassment

Ex-members of our guild have made it a point to use their guild to constantly harass our guild making our gaming experience far less than desirable. We have asked them to stops, /ignored them, and put in several tickets to have action taken to resolve this unpleasant situation. I have put in an email to the wow gm early this afternoon and have a ticket in as we speak. Is there any way a blue can look into this?

I'm afraid we cannot look into the situation for you directly, Kaisia, as we are not specifically Game Masters and do not directly address petitions. I can, however, provide some insight on how best to have this situation resolved. =)

When you report the offending players, always be sure to place the individual on ignore and DO NOT respond to them. After each instance of harassment, be sure to submit an in-game petition specifying the player's name and, if possible, an approximate time of when this took place. This goes for anyone who experiencing this in your guild.

We do not make a habit of immediately removing players from the game - we try to let them learn from their mistakes. However, if the behavior continues, please report it. Harsher punishments are often given to repeat offenders, and can result in suspension or even permanent closure of their accounts.

Also, please don't call Blizzard Employees "blues", as this is rude and is generally not respected. Blizzard Employees don't call us "whites" since we talk in white chat. Refer to them as Game Masters/Blizzard Employees from now on please.

While some day I hope to have a name, I and my fellow forum representatives are quite fine with the "Blues" moniker. It's a commonly accepted term to refer to all Blizzard Employees who post on the forums.

Thank you for the prompt response Trainee and not taking the term 'blue' offensive. We have put them on ignore and have put in tickets. A few of us have also cancelled our subscriptions. It is horrible that it has to come to that point, but some are tired of waiting for it to stop.

The frustration is quite understandable. I'm sorry that your guild mates have felt the need to do so. =( Please rest assured, however, that all reports submitted will be investigated, and appropriate action taken.
