Been hacked, Nothing restored.

When my account was hacked the first time, I got all my items/gold back fairly quick.

A year or so later, I got hacked again while I was taking a long break from WoW. (This occurred several months ago.)
I scanned my comp, recovered my account, changed my password/email, and removed the hacker's subscription, and sent a petition by Email requesting to get my items/gold restored.

I returned to my break as usual and they didn't return any messages. I waited for months..

Recently I re-activated my subscription and sent another petition (This time it was an In-game petition). A few days later, the ticket disappeared.

I send a 3rd petition, providing the details of the date/time I received a "Your password has been changed" message and my old email.

A week or so later, I find a message in my toon's mailbox with their apology that they could not restore ANYTHING (assuming they looked in their database or logs..)

3 Petitions and nothing, absolutely NOTHING!

It's been a month or so since I've been back. Slowly rebuilding my character, still hopeless and upset that Blizz let me down..
In fact, I'm among many who have experienced this..
Something's not right.

What can I do? Tell them to give me a couple thousand of my old gold back, and a list of some items I can remember? I doubt they would even do that, considering they couldn't find anything..

Feel free to share similar stories..

I took a look into the situation and it appears that the compromise in question you were reporting happened some time in December of last year. Unfortunately, too much time has passed since the losses occurred, and as a result, we no longer have the information necessary to provide restorations.

What we are able to restore is largely dependent on how quickly these situations are reported to us, Xinion. I am sorry for your loss and apologize we could not assist in this situation. Hopefully you will never experience this again, however, remember that in every case, reporting issues to us as soon as possible can directly affect the level at which we can assist.
