Realm transfer question

I have a lvl 80 DK on Lothar. I also have a lvl 80 Rogue on Lothar. Can I transfer the Rogue to another realm and once there create a DK without losing the one on Lothar? Im confused by all the misinformation about having more than one DK. I understand you can only have one per realm.

With one slight alteration, Caylee. You are not going to be required to transfer a level 30 character, or any character for that matter, to the alternate realm. If you would like, you may simply create a new death knight on any realm, as long as the account you are creating it on already has a level 55+ character somewhere (even if on an alternate realm).
