Q u o t e:
So the e-mail that is registered to my wow account is brand new. I've never used it for anything but wow. I've never told a single person the e-mail adress. I am the only person who uses my computer. I don't go to any weird websites. My system is secure. So my question is, how have they gotten my e-mail account? It isn't possible. Has anyone else had this or something similar happen?
We have been over this with you in the past. You have also been asked by the GM staff here NOT to post in all bolded text.

edit: Your new email address is probably really similar to other emails you have used in the past or is a simple one for them to generate.

Actually, if I recall correctly, Methius, I said it really makes it difficult to read. Given that the point of the forums would be to communicate one's issue and get advice I would think that making communication easier would be a goal and not something that you are actively working against.

You are welcome to post in bold if you wish, it isn't a violation of our Code of Conduct. Just like I am welcome to review other threads that do not make my eyes hurt. :)

To address your question, Methius. No one can really tell you how your account e-mail address was discovered. You could have a keylogger or other malicious program on your system. You could have unwittingly answered a phishing attempt. There are thousands of people out there who's only goal is to obtain personal and useful information about others.

Bold makes it easier for me to read.

I can understand that, Methius, though since the bold doesn't actually apply until after you hit post, it helps you read the post after you have already typed the post out. Which seems odd. :)

It isn't that I won't read the thread, Scuba, but seriously the way the text reads is starting to give me a headache so the odds of me avoiding such posts is fairly high.

Good luck.

The problem is that text is a difficult medium to use when discussing an issue. You are working with perceptions on both sides and as soon as there is a misjudgment in tone it all goes down hill. :)

I'm sorry if I have offended anyone in any of my posts as that was not the intention. So, hopefully no hard feelings. Especially vrak and orlyia.

None whatsoever, Methius, and thank you for taking pity on my eyes. <3

Good luck to you.
