Hacked NOTHING Returned GM Harrasment

So , My account gets hacked. I have NEVER been hacked before. Friends tell me my "security" measures are Overly Paranoid.
I have a Comp to run WoW. The only other thing that comp has done is , Visit Official and Confirmed Blizzard web site. MicroSoft Updates and Microsoft Email.
No mail is Opened unless I Initiated the mail and it has the name of the Blizzard rep I had Contacted.
I get ZERO spam.
I have NEVER used a 3rd party program EVER. In fact , people get mad when the find out i'm not running anything.
I am Literally the LAST person that could EVER get hacked.
The Comp was set up , Only to play WoW.

After I was Hacked. I contacted Blizzard within hours. At that time , I was ASSURED I would get all my toons back and ALL my items and Gold.

Well , I asked that my account remain Blocked until I get an Authenticator. I was MisInformed by the CSR , that I could buy one locally. I could not.
Then a CSR sent the "How to Protect your account and Account Security" link. It Was at the Blizzard site , and I navigated to it From the Blizzard site
Everything there was useless to me , I far exceeded all their precautions.

It then referred to several links for "anti virus" programs. Since they were ON the Blizzard web site , I visited them. Downloaded them. Ran them. They reported that my Comp was 100% Clean.
Next day , Turn my Comp on , Now the First ant virus programs tells me , I have 38 Incursions , and that I MUst Purchase their program , to have it Protect and Delete the viruses. I'm Upset , turn my comp off.

I come back the next day , Attempt to turn my comp on , CRASH , literally 32 more attempts , CRASH. Great , Lost my Comp now.

I Call Blizzard , Inform them , my account will be down for awhile and I could NOT find an Authenticator locally.
They assure me , the GM mail , that returned ALL my items , last 90 days. I told them , I would not be able to replace my comp for awhile. They assured me. If the GM mail is not there when I do get on , to petition a GM and they will resend it.

I miss the mail by several days , because the Authenticator took longer to get to me that it was supposed to.

I log in , Report that the mails were , in fact , gone. GM tells me No Problem.

Now , I do not get my Core Hounds , Because the Hackers used an Authenticator on my account , seems like they can get one within hours , yet I have to wait weeks for mine to be mailed to me. 3 Toons get their Items back , I'm missing a couple Legacy Items and about 50k gold.
I page. GM tells me , you got your items back , in a message and petition is gone.

So , I petition again , GM goes OH , yes I see some items. So I get "some" items back and 70 to 90 gold here and there. I'm like WHAT? My "Vendor" character , that had over 100k gold , got 90 gold back? oh ya , and NO Core Hounds.

I page , GM Gives me 3 Core Hounds and some more items on ONE toon.

I page , GM said OH , No Problem , I can get your Hounds for you , but , you have to do "this and that".

Dose not work , I page , GM is short with me now , Like they can see how many times you page and they are on orders to get rude and mean , If you page more than once. Hey My problem is NOT fixed , Of course I am Petitioning.

Next GM tells me how it is MY fault I was hacked , Blah Blah Blah and that I am NOT getting anymore gold or Items. That my lvl 80 Toon is so good , I can replace everything easily.

Are you Kidding? I had the MOST secure Comp/account , in WoW History. I was NOT Hacked from my side. I had NO Trojan , Virus or Key Logger.

At this point I tell the GM , I'm 100% positive , my account was Compromised from their side. He tells me "I would not need to hack your account , I can Create all the gold I want". I said if it is that easy , Create some and replace my gold then. He says , Is there anything Else I can help you with? I said Yes , and I got the Message "The GM closed the ticket".

Sad part is. I can prove it is the worse case of Ignorance or complete Negligence. Let me tk to a team of reps for 10 Minutes , I would explain what to do. Within 45 days , the number of people getting hacked would be down 50 to 75%.

I have been connected to the Game Industry 30 years. I had Never been Hacked , Ever. I worked for United Artist , Romastar and CapCom. I was an Area manager , Area Lead tech and Game Tester/Consultant.
First time I met the VP of CapCom , Bert Kitade , He asked how we could make more money , I told him , he did it , we made One Million dollars more that year.

If Blizzard had a Consultant Position , I could help them with everything from Hackers , Their CTG , Customer support , Marketing and their Tournaments , they have made Fatal Mistakes there. Did you Know they gave away over 300K dollars on their CTG? To me they are still CCG , Collectable Card Game.
I Held Major Tournaments on Tornado foosball tables and placed 2nd in the world. I Ran Major Magic the Gathering Tournaments and placed 1st at an early prerelease. I ran large pokemon Tournaments. So , let me tell you , they are doing everything wrong when it comes to running theirs.

Yes , I have a mail out to Mike , on working for blizzard , But after this experience , today and How I was treated and disregarded , for asking what I was "ASSURED" I would get. Now I'm disheartened.

Bad GM Policy , to just shun a Player that has lost so much , at no fault of their own.

I have always been so Loyal to Blizzard , out of respect for the excellent products they have released and are releasing , But i'm seeing Fatal errors on numerous levels now.
It's like the automotive bean counters , their policy is to lose a Customer that "demands" too much of their time. It would be better , if they , no , no free lessons. I'm not a Free consultant.

Now , that I CAN'T play the game anymore , out of Disgust for what has been allowed to happen to me and How I was treated. All I have left to do , is come here and tell my story. 2 Months of whining on the boards , Joy oh Joy.

I had "Rude" GM's "Attack" me in another Game. Before it was over , Over 100 volunteers and 3 GM's were fired.Funny how people working at a Company say "Oh No , that can't be happening". Then I prove it. I had GM's there , "follow" me around , hopeing to get something to ban me for. They were so naive , that I found a way to "see" when they were there. I would say , man , This is broken and this is Wrong with the game. Next patch , they would be fixed , lol. I Fixed more things in that game then any 1 of their Employees ever did.

Thats Like this game. I could crack down on Hackers. I could crack down on "Bots" in BG's. Extremly simple and No major reprograming. That is why The CapCom programers loved me , I came up with easy work arounds for them.

Let me just say , you are truely hard core if your still reading this , or just as FRUSTRATED as I am.

I'm sorry, Greenmeaney, but you aren't. You may believe you are completely secure and that you couldn't possibly be compromised the fact remains, you can and you were.

It wasn't as a result of our website and we didn't crash your system. There isn't a rogue employee compromising accounts, the entire idea is simply ludicrous.

I admit nothing I or anyone else will say will convince you otherwise, ever time we try you seem to claim that you have 30 years experience and have never been compromised in that time and that you only visit two locations and have no 3rd party programs. It seems you also assume that we are lazy and/or stupid and that we are the ones that are misunderstanding something. So, I will avoid talking about how you may have been compromised.

As for the restoration.

I'm sorry, Greenmeaney, you may have been assured that we would work to repair all the damage that was caused. I apologize for any confusion that may have been caused but we simply do not guarantee such results.

Now with your first petition I show that the Game Master renewed the mail that was sent. You then sent in another petition as the items restored did not apparently cover the loss, no further loss could be verified at that time, which is unfortunately the response that we had to give.

Now things get a little hazy because it seems that in the last 7-8 hours you have submitted a total of 14 petitions from multiple characters. I could sort it out but it is easier just to get to the bottom line.

It doesn't look like you were provided more items each time you submitted a petition. In fact, all the additional items (sans the Core Hounds) were restored based on one follow up petition. Even though we could not verify additional losses due to the compromise of your account we were able to look into the deleted inventory of some of your characters and restore several of the items as well as provide a bit of gold.

It should be noted though that the Core Hound for having an Authenticator attached to the account was a bit stubborn and though it should have automatically been received in your character's mailbox several of them had to be manually created by our staff. This likely had to do with the removal and reapplication of the Authenticator.

Well technically you started that conversation rather aggressively going into your belief that the compromise and whatever happened with your computer came from us. The Game Master tried to understand what links you were referring to, though you never really were very clear. You kept insisting that the source of the compromise was from us and were never very responsive to what the GM was saying. At one point saying something to the effect of... " I'll speak slowly so you understand me... " and continued to claim that we must have a rogue employee.

At a point it became obvious to the Game Master that you were not listening to anything he was saying and that your stance would not change. He tried to get you to focus on what he could assist you with but then you brought up random things about CTG and your previous work experience. At that point he did let you know that this had been looked into several times and that unfortunately the records that we would need to provide any further restoration were not available and that we would be unable to provide further restoration.

If you are unsatisfied with the assistance that our In-Game Support staff was able to provide you, Greenmeaney, or with the interaction that you have had, you are welcome to write to [email protected]. A supervisor will be happy to look into what happened and make sure all policies and procedures were followed and take any action where appropriate.

As we will be unable to provide further assistance on this issue and since you are apparently unrelenting regarding the possibility that the compromise could have been the result of an insecure system or practices on your end and do not seem to be seeking assistance of clarification I will keep this thread locked.
