I got an email (not the in game type) saying that the Blizz had picked my name for a beta-testing of cataclysim.

If this was NOT the blizz, your server has been compromised as that is the only way a hacker has been able to get the e-address...

If it was the blizz, please do not send me anymore spam. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN BUYING/TESTING/PLAYING Cataclysim... In fact, depending on the landscape changes I may not be playing WoW anymore afterwards either...

This was simply an FYI notice of the fact you were either hacked, or waisting your time offering me something I have no intrest in.

Two things about the game that really sucks eggs... To much emphasis on Scocial things (I don't give a rat's patooy about the other players or what they do and what I do is none of their damnd buisness!), and the developers that think they know more about what the players want then the players do (Changing MY game is not what I am paying for)...

There are a plethora of ways (including making them up and mailing to millions) that phishes go out.

That would be step one on any email - verifying the true sender.

I'm afraid we have no control over what scam artists send to the internet in email.
