OK so my account got hacked, my dumb fault and I have made appropriate changes. I just happened to regain access to it as the hacker was in the middle of using the hell out of my toons! My Skinner was farming and had his bags full of borean leather, greens and other useful stuff. My enchanter was half nekkid, everything DE'able was melted and his bags were full of half stacks of enchanting mats and my bank alt was sitting at the AH with something like 36 auctions going on for TONS of enchanting mats and leather.

My question is this: would blizz have a problem with me using the leather that this hacker farmed for me to level up my leatherworking? And when I get my gear back will all the extra crap be deleted? I'm pretty sure some of those enchanting mats used to be my enchanters pants!

Though tempting, Solarath, I would avoid it. During a compromise investigation our goal is ti return the items/gold etc... that were lost during the compromise but we also remove the items that may have been gained. If there is a deficit and we find the items were used to gain skill we may need to then manually adjust what skill points you acquired.

Queue times for compromise investigations are currently around a day, hang in there, everything should be sorted soon enough.
