Linked accounts

I referred a friend of mine to the game and she did everything she was supposed to do...ie set up her account using the 10 day free trial code then she upgraded her account to a full account. The web site says our accounts are linked but the friend summon link in game is not there. Or am I looking in the wrong places for it. She says she doesn't have it either.
