I recently decided to play wow again... The character of whom im posting under is attached to the account i merged with my battle.net account back when the merges became required (as i was still playing the game then)...

well back in like 2006-2007 i had an account with a toon on the Durotan server. This was my original account. I was also in a guild back then.

what does this all mean?

i decided to go say hi to my old guild from which i played with my original account via their forums. my membership on those forums has a signature that shows my toons stats... level... etc... well when i froze that account that toon was level 70. i never played it again. that signature says that it is level 80 now, with level 80 stats...

when i check that toon on the armory it says the information for that character is unavailable due to inactivity. so i decided to reactive that account to see what the deal is...

i get the message that that account has been merged with a b.net account. I NEVER DID THAT. like i said, I froze that account before wrath of the lich king came out.

this is a very odd situation and im not sure how to even go about recovering that account.

I'd recommend contacting Billing just as soon as possible.

It sounds like you were compromised and they hijacked your account into another Battle.net.

Now, being that old - it's uncertain what can be done, but it bears looking into.
