Hi,

Three days ago (74 hours to be precise) I was gifted a the full game of WoW and upgraded my trial account online. Like it was said on the site, I was allowed to continue leveling immediately.

However, 74 hours later and I STILL cannot use in game yelling, trade chat, Trade, or send or receive mail. At level 22, this is beginning to become debilitating.

I don't want to pay for time I cannot fully use!

From what I can see, Vesuvial, the upgrade was applied to the account on 8/4 22:35 GMT. It is currently 8/7 01:35 GMT thus it has not been 72 hours just yet.

I'm not entirely certain about gifted digital upgrades though so if the restrictions have not lifted after 22:35 GMT please let us know and we can look further into it. You may need to contact our Billing and Account Services department directly though I will be happy to check just to be sure.

Q u o t e:
Thanks for the prompt reply, very impressed.

My main concern here is that Im paying for time I dont get to fully use. Im sure you can understand.

I understand that, Vesuvial, though that is technically not true, we don't remove any trial time you had previously when you upgrade so you still have that left.

Technically you are still using the 10 days of trial time that you were given when you started the trial account. The 30 days of free game time that comes with a new account has not yet kicked in and any subscription you set up won't be activated until after that.

Your new account game time kicks in 8/9 at 20:05 GMT and your subscription starts 9/9 at that time.

Additionally, the online upgrade is an option, not a required method of update. Because of the potential abuse of the online upgrade feature restrictions had to be placed on it, which is why we provide a warning in multiple locations.

I hope that provides some clarification. :)
