Wrathgate quest chain

I have a guildie who abandoned the quests from the Wrathgate quest chain, and wants to be able to do For The Alliance, but can't since he can't see anyone in Undercity or Orgrimmar. He does not have the Veteran of the Wrathgate achievement, and since he abandoned the quests, he doesn't know where to go to pick up where he left off. He's usually the quiet type, so I opted to come here in his place to find out any information I can.
