I recently recruited a friend of mine onto the game yesterday. He paid for the basic wow and added a 60 day time card. I checked my rewards and it says that i haven't gaine anything and he's on the basic trial account. Yet, the timer for the 60 days and bonus month are ticking away. Is there anyway to skip the trial days and go straight to the regular account?

Are you posting from the account you sent the Recruit-A-Friend invitation from, Iskios? If so, I see the Recruit-A-Friend invitation was accepted and an account was created. Based on the information you provided it seems as though your friend may have upgraded and added the Game Card to the wrong account. Would you be able to provide a character name and realm on the account that has been upgraded so I may look into the issue further?

OMG! i asked for help earlier today and got it locked and no response. Why is everyone else getting help?

Can you please elaborate on your situation, Yummysteak? I will be more than happy to take a look.

First of all, Yummysteak, I can confirm the accounts were linked as requested so I do not see any reason as to why you are not receiving the Recruit-A-Friend benefits.
Q u o t e:
Also it says that my RaF has only 82 days remaining but it was only linked the other day by a gm. How is it 8 days already into it when it wasn't set up back then? It couldn't possibly been started 8 days ago.

When an account is retro-linked, the link begins when the account was created, not when the accounts were linked together. In this case, your brother created the account on 8/3/10, which is why you are seeing “X” number of days remaining of the link.

Are you sure you are meeting the requirements to receive the Recruit-A-Friend benefits? To earn 3XP, both characters need to be in the same group, within 3 levels of each other, and lower than level 60. Both members will have earned experience for killing a monster. For completing a quest, the quest must not be "grey" when you turn it in. Are you meeting this requirement?

While I show 2 accounts are linked, your recruit has not upgraded the linked account. If he did in fact upgrade an account and added a Game Card he did so on another account entirely.

Please do not provide his Battle.net account name, Iskios. Can you find out from your friend his character name and realm? That would help me tremendously.

In order to receive the subscription rewards received from the Recruit a Friend promotion the account must actually pay for the required subscription (i.e. one month or two months).

Your account, Sizz, was created 7/11. A new account will receive 30 days of free game time before any billable subscription method will be billed. It should also be pointed out that you do not lose the 10 days of trial time when you upgrade. So all in all you have 40 days, from the point when the account was originally created, until your billable subscription method will be billed.

In your case, Sizz, you are scheduled to be billed for your subscription on 8/21 at 9:05 GMT. At that point, since you have selected a 3 month subscription and once the payment has processed, the recruiting player should receive both their 30 days of game time as well as be able to redeem their mount.

I'll post again for Iskios, so we don't get these matters confused.

Alright, let's take this a bit at a time.

The Recruit a Friend link lasts for exactly 90 days from when the account is created. The Recruit a Friend trial account was created on 8/10 at 2:00 GMT. The link is scheduled to expire 11/8 at 2:00 GMT. That would be 90 days later.

It should be noted that online upgrades warn that though leveling restrictions will lift immediately other restrictions such as mail and chat will remain for up to 72 hours until the purchase completely processes.

The time that is currently ticking down is actually part of the 10 days of trial time that is received when the trial account is created, after that the 30 days of free time, that comes with a new account will be activated. The game card won't be activated until 9/20 at 2:00 GMT.
Q u o t e:

I just don't see why it hasn't already given us the %300 lvling speed and the Epic mounts.

Actually, the account has received the 30 days of game time, which given the amount of time left on the account will activate on 10/4. They should also be able to claim the mount, though it may need to wait until the referred account fully upgrades.

Your friend can redeem the mount by visiting the Battle.net page, click on the referring account and then select Referrals & Rewards. Then click under the My Rewards tab.

As for the 300% experience that is entirely conditional. You and your friend need to be in the same party, within 4 levels of one another and in close proximity to one another and the encounter/quest can not be considered trivial to either of you.

More information on that is in the FAQ links I provided earlier.

Interesting, I didn't notice that the FAQ changed. O.o The level range should still remain the same (i.e. as long as no more then 3 levels separate the two of you) but I think the way it was stated was causing confusion.
