Twice, 2 different tickets and received the form letter ingame mail. Can someone kindly direct me to another venue to get customer support since the ingame GMs will not give me the time of the day. This is becoming annoying, I want to speak to a person, not get a copy pasted response stating they will not do anything.

I'm sorry, Thornwalker, but in order to respond to issues as quickly as we can and lower queue times we may not always be able to speak directly to you. We usually only contact you directly if we require additional information.

In your case, we did not. We investigated the matter and it looks like we verified that a scam did not take place. You seem to be disagreeing and want to speak with a Game Master about it.

I'm sorry, Thornwalker, if you believe an error was made you may write to wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com. That would be the appropriate method to dispute the outcome.
Q u o t e:

So, in a case of master looter, on all previous items, they state roll for [XXX] and highest roll gets the item.

I only glanced at this briefly but I didn't see those instructions. I see that the Master Looter said "Roll and linked the item. In most cases the Master Looter has final say as to who an item goes to, even if that item ends up being given to themselves. If clear rules are established, and those rules are broken we may consider that a scam and take what actions we deem appropriate. Roll (item) is not generally sufficient.

Thank you.

Now I know, when I want an item, I can just screw over everyone in the raid and take it for myself. Thank you for letting me know that the system can be abused in such a matter, in the future I will use such methods to get the items I want.

Nice to know that dishonesty is rewarding by you.

Since you allow this crap to take place and I do not wish my day ruined, I will be unsubbing once again. I have had it with you allowing the griefers to run the game.

Good day.

Just a tip to all of you, if you want an item, just be loot master and you can do whatever you want.

I'm sorry to hear that, Thornwalker, but our Developers have implemented multiple methods of looting in order to give players a way to protect themselves.

Master Looter is meant to be used in situations where there is a high degree of trust, such as within guilds and amongst friends. It was never intended to be used with pick up groups.

By using the Master Looting system you give the Master Looter permission to decide what to do with the items. Even so, we have developed policies in which we may be able to help when we believe that our Scamming Policies have been violated.

So you see, Thornwalker, we do not allow griefers per se. We have gone to great lengths to give players the necessary tools to protect themselves while dealing with people they may not know or have any reason to trust.

The thing is, even when you told your version of what you believed happened you added "highest roll gets the item" to the end. You may have assumed that was said or added it because you understood that roll [item link] wasn't much to go on, I'm not absolutely certain.

I wish you well in whatever you decide to do though.

Did he just wanna see a bunch of people roll for the fun of it?

He could have, Thornwalker, he didn't clarify. I do completely understand your point of view in this situation, Thornwalker, I do. The fact remains we have always taken a hands off approach when it comes to loot distribution. We have recently made some concessions when it comes to possible scams.

Was how this person handled this situation honorable? Perhaps not. Do I think it was fair? It isn't my place to say but again I'd have to say no.

Does this fall under our scam policy? In this case I'm afraid not. No clear looting rules were established, roll ms>os or just roll (item) does not usually qualify.
Q u o t e:

Okay, so scamming is against the rules…what exactly is a scam?

In terms of loot, making and then breaking a clear in-game agreement on the way loot will be distributed by a Master Looter can be considered a scam. Unfortunately, some players will make loot agreements they have no intention of keeping to get players to join a dungeon or raid group. In these situations, players who disregard the original agreement and then take (or give away) loot in a different way are potentially violating our Scam Policy. If you believe you have been scammed, please contact In-Game Support.

If a player is found to have perpetrated a scam after loot rules are fully defined, he/she may:

* Be temporarily suspended from the game
* Have any money or item gains removed

In almost all situations, any removed loot will be left unassigned. Due to the privacy associated with these investigations, In-Game Support will be unable to release details regarding an investigation's findings, actions taken, or its final outcome.

* Please note that partial agreements that do not wholly explain how loot will be distributed may prevent In-Game Support from assisting. If you use the Master Looter setting, please be sure to clarify with your raid group using in-game text chat whether or not any items are reserved, what (if any) restrictions will be placed on rolls based on class specializations, and how winners of open rolls will be selected.

We help when we can, Thornwalker, but we simply can't become involved in every decision and interaction players have one with another, especially consideration that there are ample protections already in place and in this case they were not used. This was an entirely preventable situation.

I'm sorry if you feel it necessary to leave.
